Rogers TV Guide Dark and Awful!!

Canslaw1234

Nov 2024

Just switched from Years of Bell Fine to Rogers. They still never updated their horrible TV Guide, it's too Dark and doesn't list the days of the week in all their time slots. Hard to figure out trying to prerecord a show if it only gives you the day of the week " once" per day not in every box. Just numerical date. Awful user interface.

I told them this 15 years ago when I had Rogers last, but they never changed it. Horrible to navigate!! Ugh

The Internet has been a blessing 10x faster than lousy Bell TV, can play my games on my tablet, load better. Bell despite them telling me their fastest speed was awful at loading games. Took forever.

Hello @Canslaw1234

Welcome to the Rogers Community Forums!

We appreciate you providing us with your feedback on our TV guide. We do have options to increase the brightness on the guide. You can find the steps below:

Background darkness levels can be set through Preferences.

1. Press the Rogers/Home button on the remote control.
2. Use the arrow buttons to highlight Settings (the gear icon). Press OK.
3. Select Preferences and press OK.
4. Highlight General and press OK.
5. Using the right arrow button, highlight Background Darkness Level and press OK.
6. Using the right arrow or left arrow buttons on your remote, choose the darkness you prefer (from 1 to 11) and press OK (you will return you to the Preferences > General screen)
7. You can re-select a Background Darkness Level or Exit the menu
8. Press the Exit button on the remote to return to the program you were previously watching.

Please let us know if this helps!

This did absolutely Nothing on the tv still dark and resets to 7 when you exit, ugh

Re: Rogers TV Guide Dark and Awful!!

I am sorry to hear that didn't work, @Canslaw1234.

You can try Settings > Accessibility Settings > Enhanced Text Readability.

It is also possible that your brightness and/or contrast and/or backlight settings are too low on your TV. Have you tried turning these settings up to see if that helps you see the Guide better?
