I am an existing customer who has smart home monitoring. I have one camera and the emergency monitoring system. The camera is garbage. It does not detect anyone walking up the driveway. Is it worth switching to ignite self protect? Is installation included? Will I have to install myself? Will doorbell cam be compatible with my existing chime if my home is close to 30 years old?

Hello, @ralph121
Welcome to the Rogers Community Forums!
We can certainly address your questions regarding the Ignite Self Protect. The newer cameras are much better than previous SHM cameras, I have used both and there is a big difference. Being able to use the doorbell camera as an intercom is my favourite feature. You can also record up to 7 days and access your recordings remotely via the Ignite HomeConnect app.
You can get the equipment professionally installed but it is easy to install yourself if are comfortable with electrical wiring. There is an adaptor module that attaches to your existing doorbell chime so there is a good chance it would be compatible with your chime.
I hope this helps you make a decision on switching to Ignite Self Protect.
