Door to Door sales

Would it be possible for ROGERS to STOP door to door sales.  Some of these individuals show up at doors of elders that are quite nervous about strangers coming to their door.  Further for people with young families it creates an unsafe environment as it has a preface of someone walking around the region that may or not be legitimate.  I find door to door sales INTRUSIVE, and opens possibility of safety concerns for those who wish to emulate it for unscrupulous reasons.  We recently had the bad experience of two men slowly driving in our neighbourhood one was holding up his phone maybe talking maybe taking pictures, when they finally parked they both got out with rogers jackets.  Let's just say the behavior they showed, driving slowly with their phones up was highly suspicious and frnaly none of us want to be bothered at home anyway.

@rogcom72 : I don't believe Rogers can do much about this, unless they are direct Rogers employees.  Rogers probably doesn't have much control over third party agencies.

I have a simple rule about these sorts of "intrusions".

1. I have a no-soliciting sign clearly visible at my front door (most, but not all, people honour the sign)

2. I do not answer the door if I do not recognize the person.

3. No one who comes to your door has your best interests at heart.  

4. I do the same for phone calls. If the caller is not in my personal phone address book (or person/organization that I wish to talk to), I do not answer the call.  If it's important they can leave a message and I can get back to them.  The only tricky part can be a doctor that sometimes shows as "private caller", but those are usually pretty rare and you usually know when they may call.  Few scammers show as "private caller", most either spoof a number, or show as "unknown", or may even be "caught" by Rogers Spam Call Detect and show as a likely spammer or likely fraud.

5. I have a "No Junk Mail" sign on my mail box. Most people honour that sign too.

P.S. Those Rogers people you mention, may have been checking signal strength.

Some door to door salesman from Rogers entered our home! Uninvited today. My daughter screamed in horror, there's a Man in our house!
When I got to our entrance he had let himself in the front door. I made him get out immediately but he didn't take it serious and laughed in my face. Rogers is despicable. My wife and daughter are traumatized.
