Can anyone please confirm:
Does the app try to stream in the resolution of the TV, or is it limited to streaming at best in 720P ?
I take it that like the US Xfinity app, audio is limited to just plain PCM 2.0 audio?
Also, I believe you cannot pause, rewind, nor fast forward (like after pausing) LIVE TV?
Thanks.

As someone else said, the functionality is pretty much the same as the apps for Android or iOS. Not sure about the resolution but I would think that it is 1080i or 720p, which is what the source material is. Some networks, like CBC, Fox and ABC/ESPN produce their content in 720p. So even if it was 1080p it would just be upconverted from 720p.
I am pretty sure that you can pause live TV and then FF or REW, although the FF and REW controls are not great. Of course, you can't FF live TV that isn't paused. I think you can restart some shows that you haven't set to record.

I have Rogers in Toronto and installed the Shaw xfinity app on my fire stick. Activated it via the code. The Menu shows up but I try to watch anything I get "We're having some trouble :: 0 We're sorry something unexpected just happened. Please try again. Error: 0"

You installed the wrong app. Install the non-Shaw Rogers one, which has white text on a red background.

Maybe Rogers is having tech difficulties. I have previously installed the app but it's not working this morning either - all I got was the 3 jumping dots when I clicked on 'Favourite Channels'.
It's not a connectivity issue as all other apps on the Firestick is working fine.

Thanks for testing. After I reset the app everything is back to normal.

Any plans by rogers by providing an app for android boxes?
As far as I know, Comcast has not yet released an Xfinity Stream app for Google TV / Android TV.
