Remote not pairing with Insignia TV

Tried everything but no luck. Any suggestions?

@qw5 Did you try the instructions in the following pdf?

If it doesn't work, hand the remote to another person because sometimes muscle memory takes over and the same mistake is made again and again. Make sure you're using the instructions to "work with the TV" and make sure you're using the instructions for the correct remote (there are two).

You will find the various codes for Insignia TV in the "codefinder" on the left side of the page.  I have copied most of them below. Try each in turn until you get one that controls your TV properly. The first code is: 12049

Insignia isn't even listed on the Rogers pairing tv list. So how do I try a code when Insignia isn't even an option?

@Kimsamom : Um, if you read my post above yours, you'll see the instructions for programming in the code, the link for the remote and the various codes for Insignia.

Thanks for noticing my post. If you read it again you we'll see the problem isn't with the code, the problem is when I go to connect to Remote Setup after pressing A on the remote, then saying Yes to Do you want to use your remote to control your TV power and volume? It scans for devices then it asks What brand is your TV? if you go over to "I" and scroll down, Insignia is not even listed as a choice. There's tvs listed from seemingly all across the globe, but no Insignia. I don't know how that's even possible since it's a brand widely sold in Canada.

ps. I tried to access the code as instructed in your post...nothing came up on the screen after step 1 so I used the A button instructions as explained.

My instructions are an alternate way to programme the remote directly, without using the TV/STB,  by following the instructions provided by the manufacture of the remote and the link I provided.

I went to the link yesterday but nothing happened with the codes. I entered a lot of them before giving up and trying the way I did in my post. I tried it again just now and it works. Can't thank you enough!
