Investigation Discovery (ID) not appearing in channel lineup after January 1, 2025 changes

Not sure if anyone else has this issue, but Investigation Discovery will not appear at all in my lineup. This occurs on both “Free To Me” (showing subscribed channels only), and “TV Listings” (showing every channel).

According to https://www.rogers.com/iptv/new-channels, ID should be on either channel 54, 56, 63, 72, 341 depending on my area. However ID isn’t on any of those channels. 54 is WUTV (FOX), and channels 56, 63, 72, 341 either show no results, or only movies.

I am located in NL, not sure if this is an oversight by the team that handles channel lineups or if this is an account specific issue.

For the record, all of the other new channels come in fine - I can tune in Home and Flavour network, along with Discovery, HGTV, Food Network, and Magnolia Network. Only issue is with ID. Even clicking the ID “banner ad” in the guide, simply gives me an error (Something’s not quite right).

I have tried rebooting my modem along with all TV boxes, and doing a system refresh. The issue still persists.

I subscribe to Total TV in Ontario and am currently receiving ID on channels 63 and 341.

Tagging @CommunityHelps so they can look into this.

Good day @ajquann,

Thank you for your post!

On January 1, 2025, some of your favourite TV brands changed ownership. It is the case for Investigation Discovery which has been relaunched as Oxygen True Crime.

As part of this change, new and exciting content will be available and some of your shows may shift timeslots. Don't hesitate to let us know if you have questions.

Hope this helps!

@RogersMaude Didn’t Rogers launch their own version of Investigation Discovery though? This is what we are talking about here - Rogers version of ID does not appear in my channel lineup whatsoever.

I can receive Oxygen True Crime no problem, as that was a rebranding (Bell Media owns this), but Rogers version of ID does not appear in my channel lineup whatsoever - as if it doesn’t exist.

I know it exists because @-G- confirmed he can view it in Ontario on the new channel positions using the Total TV package.. which is by pure coincidence the same package I have.

@ajquann  Are you able to see Investigation Discovery when you switch the guide to the "All Channels" view?

Rogers is currently offering a free preview of all the new channels: https://www.rogers.com/iptv/free-previews

and it is possible that Rogers overlooked something and did not make the ID preview available in your area.

Also, FYI, Rogers currently has a summary of all the new channels on their Channel Updates page: https://www.rogers.com/support/tv/channel-updates

@-G- Investigation Discovery does not appear when I switch to the All Channels view, keying in the channel numbers does nothing either.

I contacted Rogers about this a few days ago, told them about this issue. They told me that the ID channel was rebranded to Oxygen True Crime (true), and that there was no other version that exists (false).

Is there any way this can be escalated? I know there is a “Office of The President”, but not sure how to get in contact with them.
