Casting Ignite TV With Firestick

I am moving from Bell to Rogers next week. Will I be able to cast from my android phone to a Firestick or Fire TV. I read the posts here and not sure. Also I can't get a clear answer from Rogers. Thank you.

I have never been able to cast from the Ignite TV app on iOS to a Firestick, not even with 3rd-party apps installed that supposedly allow streaming/casting from any device.  The Firestick lacks the DRM support that the Ignite TV app requires.

However, I can cast to Apple TV and to other devices with full Airplay support, such as a Roku streaming box.

Streaming to Chromecast is also officially supported.

Former Shaw customers can download an official Ignite TV app to their Firesticks, no casting required, but this option is not available to "red" Rogers customers, at least not yet.

No. Rogers likes to keep everyone using their garbage set top boxes to make you feel like we are still in the 90's. BTW don't believe anything they say unless you get it in writing they love to lie to customers.
