Spam Call Detect is terrible.

I've been here awhile

This new feature doesn't work at all. It basically thinks every call I receive is a Spam Call - no matter how much that number has called me already and even numbers that are saved in my address book. The only calls in the past week that haven't been labelled as Spam were the actual Spam calls! #Fail

Rogers, please leave my incoming call calls alone or provide an option for me to turn off this annoying and seriously malfunctioning feature. I run a business and don't need this annoyance and mislabeling when my long time clients are trying to contact me. Thanks but no thanks.

This "feature" was discussed in the following thread;

https://communityforums.rogers.com/t5/Network-Coverage/Why-is-Rogers-is-behind-the-times/m-p/500269/...

Unfortunately, according to the link in that post to the FAQs, it doesn't appear you can disable it.

Apparently, the feature will get better with time.

I'm assuming this is not the same as STIR/SHAKEN:

This doesn't change the fact that it is malfunctioning in the present. It's overwriting not just my contacts but also the names registered to the numbers by their own providers. It's like everyone is "Suspected Spam" now except the 1-888 numbers that actually are spam. I understand the reasons it exists and what Rogers is trying to do to comply, and also that it's applied network wide and can't be turned off. None of that changes the fact that it's not even close to functioning properly before rollout. This makes me want to change providers immediately. I'm tired of waiting for Rogers to "get better in time".

I've been around

I'm having this same issue and it's blocking legit numbers like my intercom buzzer of my building. No problems at all for THREE years and blocked last week. I've been without a buzzer for 7 days.

I hope people are not confused, there is more than one spam feature in existence.  for starters, the phone manufacturers such as Samsung, Google/Android, Apple, Motorolla, etc.  implement their own spam detection system based on people flagging and reporting numbers.   This is NOT to be confused with the Shaken Not Stirred feature that has rolled out to all the phone companies in the GTA. One is a software on your phone, another is a feature in the back end of the routing networks, 2 distinctly different things. we are talking about
