Problem with the speed of the 5G SIM card

Hello friends, I have a problem with downloading and uploading on the Rogers 5G SIM card and the ping is very high, and I called Rogers several times, but they did not give a correct answer. Have friends had such a problem? And I reset the phone and the settings and the problem was still not fixed. Thankful.

Different devices performed differently on the network. Various factors can impact your network performance, like your device, age of the SIM, network congestion, bands deployed, your location, sources of potential interference, firmware, carrier aggregation, as well as other variables.

I've had the same issue since moving to Rogers a few weeks ago. Using Galaxy S23 Ultra. I moved from Telus, to Fido to Rogers (I go where the deals are). My 5G and 5G+ are sub-50mbps, while my LTE+ is 150mbps+.

I talked to Technical Support, and they couldn't explain it either.

I'm in Winnipeg.

Re: Problem with the speed of the 5G SIM card

Not an uncommon issue as more and more people upgrade to 5G devices, leaving the older 4G-LTE much less congested. I am not familiar with the bands deployed up in Winnipeg, but they should be much faster unless congestion or interference are the issues. In Toronto, ai can easily pull 600Mbps down and get about 30Mbps up in east Scarborough. Down by the SkyDome where 5G SA is available on mmWaves, 1000 to 1300Mbps down and 150Mbps up is not uncommon considering Canadian devices do not have mmWave antennas where my US s23 Ultra does.
