Sportsnet now

I've been around

Sportsnet now quality is horrible, wouldn’t recommend. I watch on a 1440 monitor but I’m stuck with Sportsnets 1080p. It’s 2024 lol time to step it up Rogers. Buy more servers and dedicate more processes to streaming decent quality lol

Its actually an upscaled 720p. Thats why even at HD resolution, it looks like garbage.
Also I paid $120 for the year 2 years ago, then it immediately went up to $180. With no discernable change to the service and picture quality.

Rogers is joining the supermarket shrink-flation

Come on Rogers!

The only way to get good picture quality on SN or TSN is to subscribe to them through Rogers and to watch the programming via a box connected to a TV. The picture quality will then be excellent 1080P for HD programming and 4K when 4K programming is produced.

Unfortunately, if you are streaming, the picture quality suffers quite a bit since they don't provide the bandwidth.  Here's a thread on the topic over on Digital Home.  Some people measured the bandwidth at only 3.5-4 Mbps.  HD is typically 10 Mbps and 4k typically 25 Mbps.
