Ignite TV app is horrible

Giofrio
I've been around

I’m at a friend’s and can’t Airplay ToGo channels on his large screen due to app licences? Horrible, just like not being able to watch all the channels on the app when you’re not home.

@Giofrio  I honestly have no idea why Rogers does not allow this... yet they allow casting to Chromecast.  Airplay is a trivial thing to enable when you build and sign the app.

The current Ignite TV app on iOS (version 6.10) is almost a year old.  Comcast just released a new version of their app (version 7.5) a few days ago, which also runs on the Apple TV.  Perhaps we will see a new version of Ignite TV soon... perhaps with Airplay support... perhaps even with tvOS support... or perhaps not... but we can still dream.

Good news!  A new version of the Ignite TV app on iOS is now out and it supports AirPlay!  And it works -- we can now finally stream to our Apple TV boxes!

A good step forward. I'd still like to see an Ignite app on the Apple TV itself and the other similar streaming devices as well.
