When I try to toggle off "Broadcast WiFi name" in WiFi settings I get "Something went wrong" error.
Aside from this error, why is this setting disabled on the modem console?!
My modem model is XB8 and firmware version is CGM4981COM_6.7p14s1_PROD_sey
App version is 5.24.0-2

Hello, @ehsanarc.
Welcome to our Community, and thank you for your post.
I appreciate you providing the modem details and the error message while turning off the SSID (WiFi name) broadcast.
I'm unable to replicate the error. I see the warning, "You may need to manually enter the WiFi name before you can connect."
Have you tried rebooting the modem and relaunching the app? Turning off the SSID broadcast may not have many advantages, as the network can't be hidden entirely.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
RogersMoin

Hi
So this is the long story. The modem was working fine until one morning when suddenly none of my devices could connect to the WiFi (the network was available on my WiFi list). I tried turning it off and on and even unplugged the modem for a few minutes, but nothing worked.
Eventually, I had to connect my laptop with a LAN cable and tried rebooting it, but again, no change. So, I tried the 'Restore Wi-Fi Settings' option, which restored all WiFi settings back to default, and after that, I was able to connect to WiFi.
However, now the app can't change any of the WiFi settings (password, SSID broadcast, etc.).
I have my own reasons for not broadcasting my WiFi name. This is a very basic setting that has been available forever!
