Hello, does anyone know if Thunderbird can be used to receive and send @rogers.com email? If so, does anyone know how I would setup Thunderbird for my Rogers email? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

@chdiamo1 : You have posted many times in the App Password thread - links below, where this issue has been discussed in detail. The answer is that the latest version of Thunderbird for PC will work without an App Password.  You will be able to simply use the same password that you use to get into Webmail.  When setting up the latest version of Thunderbird, you may need to set up 2FA/MFA requiring a text to a cell phone.

I wasn’t clear enough. When I am asked for the server settings, ports and type of security, what info do I enter?

Thank you. That is exactly what I was looking for.

@asturias7 : Is that information required for Thunderbird?  It's been about a year but I thought that in Outlook you simply tell it that you're trying to connect to Yahoo and it must fill in all that information on its own.

I haven't had this problem in a while, but I do remember that it automatically detected everything thus no need to fill out all fields... However, it is always handy to have as much info as possible in case the settings aren't detected.

I've been here awhile

Okay so I tried setting up my 4 @rogers.com accounts in the latest Thunderbird. Everything seemed to work fine but all logged into account #4 even though the other 3 are using their own separate usernames and passwords. Removed all accounts from Thunderbird and recreated a new account using username and password for account #1 and again logged into account #4. Has anybody heard of this and what could possibly be going on?

Re: Thunderbird for Rogers Email?

Good morning @Katikiany!

That's a strange issue that I can only assume is Thunderbird related.

Have you tried reaching out to Mozilla for support: Thunderbird Help

It's sorted. Apparently Thunderbird saves the log in information when it connects to the Yahoo website to confirm the account. This must be cleared between the set up of each account by clearing the startup cache or it uses the account you are still logged into in Thunderbird's limited browser.
