I've been here awhile

So I have had Rogers Xfinity internet the last 2-3 months. We've bridged the modem and only use wired connectivity, I've run a LAN network throughout my house and garage. The issue I face is I can never have more than 2 devices with active internet access at a time. To make this short, while I did create my own Cat5 lengths with RJ45 connectors, I have used purchased CAT5 cables to make sure there is no physical issue. I also have an ethenet cable tester that verifies the cables are good. While I want to have 5 or 6 devices connected I'm starting with 3, my TV, my PS5 and my computer. If I start from scratch, having everything unplugged, the first 2 devices will connect, the 3rd will not. This is all good cables plugged into the router and directly into each device. If I unplug one, the non working one will eventually connect if I leave it for several hours. However, the one I unplugged will not work when reconnected. All devices work, just not all 3 at the same time, no matter how many resets of the modem or device I do. The 3rd just does not get recognized. I have a Rogers Gen 3 modem. Could there be a defect in the modem that prevents it from assigning more than 2 devices at a time? I'm at a complete loss here...

@Paco44557  When you enable Bridge Mode, it bridges the LAN and LAN interfaces, and that gives devices connected to your LAN ports direct (unprotected) access to the Internet.  In Bridge Mode, Rogers will only allow two devices to obtain IP addresses, and only those devices will have Internet connectivity.  Bridge Mode is only meant for those that choose to use their own network gear and connect through their own router/firewall.  

 

What you should do is DISABLE Bridge Mode.  That will then allow all of your devices to function properly.  If you do not want to use the Ignite Gateway's Wi-Fi, simply disable each Wi-Fi network band but do not enable Bridge Mode.

I've been here awhile
I should have asked weeks ago but between trying to figure it out and being busy i didn't. It worked! Thank you! I wish the Rogers installer had told me that. When I told him I wanted to run wired connections and didn't want to use the wifi he just told me to put it in bridge mode. Thanks again!
