I'm here a lot

Do recordings that I delete get permanently deleted automatically after sitting a few days in the delete folder?

Hello and welcome to the Community @RAB12,

You've definitely come to the right place :)!

A deleted recording sits in Recently Deleted until it is permanently deleted, or until the program is automatically deleted to save storage.  A recording only has a one-year lifespan in your Cloud PVR! Once it reaches that limit, it will be deleted automatically and, unrecoverable.

Hope this helps :)!

How do I record from ignite tv to a usb not to the cloud?

@sheriffoflandma What you ask for is not possible due to digital rights management (DRM).  Theoretically you could record a programme to the cloud, then, you could use a powered HDMI to component video converter, make use of the "analogue hole" to send a signal to an Hauppauge HDPVR Computer, and then download that file to a USB from the computer.  Why would you want to do this?

Hi. I recently tried to use the download and go feature on the xfinity stream app. After I downloaded my shows to my tablet, I turned it off, to watch the content later offline. When I turned my tablet on again, I discovered the app had automatically logged me out, and it had deleted my downloaded content! Is there a setting in the app to tell it not to delete my downloaded content just because I turned off the tablet. I had downloaded the content to watch later offline as the marketing description said, but was never able to view it due to that automatic deletion.

There seems to be an issue with some people being logged out and downloaded programming deleted.   See the discussion in the following thread.

You may wish to try the recommendations in that thread to see if that fixes your issue.  What is the make/model of your tablet?

Hi. I have an iPad Air, 5th gen, iPadOS version 18.3.2.

I will update the iOS to 18.4 and hope that resolves it.

Just a note that my 18.3.2 operating system was newer than the ones  mentioned in the chat stream you shared. So, the issue I described sounds like a bug.

Further to the above... the issue seems to be resolved.

I updated my iPad operating system to 18.4, downloaded some content from Rogers Xfinity, then shut down the iPad. When I booted up the iPad again an hour or so later, the app had not signed me out, and the downloaded content was still there on the iPad. Hopefully this has resolved the issue. Thanks for your response.
