Just switched to Rogers and setup 2 iPhone 12s with eSim. We live in Vaughan and 5G is working in our neighbourhood and surrounding area. Went down to Lakeshore/Parklawn area in Toronto yesterday. During the drive no issues with cellular data (Waze, Spotify). But once we reached destination and parked, iPhone showed 5G+ and full bars but cellular data did not work on either phone. We were in the area for a about 3-4 hours and the internet connectivity was terrible, did not work, and only worked for a bit if you toggled eSim off/on (5G auto varied from 1 to 3 bars while in restaurant). Others in our group on Rogers or Bell did not have issues. I was even on the phone for 30-40 min with Rogers and the call died. Rogers rep did ask me to do a Reset Network on my iPhone but that did not help. When we got back on the highway (Gardener/427), cellular data started working again on both phones and continued be normal when we got home.
Is this an eSim issue ? Could the Rogers cell towers near Lakeshore have issues with our eSims ?
We are going to try switching to physical Sims to see if this makes a difference. If you have any ideas, please reply.

Hi!
It's not an issue with the eSIM, otherwise it'd be consistent regardless of your location.
We had that happen, in a similar situation, and toggling Airplane mode for 10 to 15 seconds fixed the issue. It's like our phones (15 Pro Max and S22 Ultra) connected to the "tower" but not the network, it was really weird 🤣

Greetings @KubotaDude!
I absolutely understand the need for this service and how much of an impact degraded Internet access could have on the area.
If you're experiencing degraded data services, we can investigate but we'll need to gather your account and exact location in order to investigate fully. It's possible that there is an issue with one of your local towers in a situation such as this.
