Replacement SIM

LordDrakkon
I'm an advisor

I called Rogers today to have a pSIM sent out.  My current s23 Ultra has a Rogers eSIM.  I am not happy with the OneUI 7 beta looking and feeling much like iOS so I want to go back to using my OnePlus 8T until I decide on what device I am going to use for the next while.  I explained all of that to the person on the phone, who said the pSIM would be sent to me in 3 to 5 business days.  I was told that when I receive it, to call back in and they would move my service to the new pSIM.  Well... a few hours ago, my eSIM now shows Emergency Calls Only!  What kind of incompetence is this?!?  Rogers better reactive my eSIM before I decide to go for a walk and switch carriers!  I am walking out of my door once this message posts!

I can understand people that live in rural communities ordering a physical sim card via telephone and having it shipped to their house, but what's wrong with going down the street to a local rogers store or rogers affiliate and buying a sim card in person?  I did this all the time, it was actually more convenient as I can have it activated same day. who wants to wait days for it to ship?

Re: Replacement SIM

The $25 charge for the SIM from the stores. Support sends one out at no cost because it is a replacement SIM. I would have gladly picked one up from a store if they didn't try to gouge me for something that literally costs Rogers less than a penny that they get from China.

Why couldn't the agent tell you to go pick it up from a store if u needed it right away then they credit your account the amount the sim card costs?  this is what I would do if I was a call centre agent to make my customers happy.

do they want their customers to be miserable?
