I have been trying to get assistance regarding a Rogers account that is showing on my credit report. I have called numerous times and have spent countless hours trying to get help by calling customer service and I get disconnected EVERY time, put on hold then disconnected, or transferred in circles. I have raised a complaint with a csr manager and received some kind of confirmation number. I was told someone would call me back in regards to my complaint yet over 3 months now and still no call. I am trying to get a mortgage and this closed Rogers account from March of 2013 is showing on my credit report. We are now in 2022. Below are the people that I spoke to on a particular day that I happened to take notes.
Keetra - manager - 11/2021 - Raised a complaint and was advised someone would call me back.
Sukhman - rogers csr 28/01/2022
Chauma - rogers csr 11:19am 28/01/2022
Nageen - 11:37am 28/01/2022
CSR transferred me to collections 12:12pm 28/01/2022
Someone picked up and re-directed me to the collections line 2x 12:13pm 28/01/2022
Someone disconnected at 12:14pm 28/01/2022
Ankit csr - 12:21pm 28/01/2022 - dropped the call
I need to get this rectified ASAP or I will be contacting the Ombudsman and the Media.
so i dont get it, is there a problem with your credit report? what is the actual problem with having rogers show up on your credit report? I have an old rogers account showing on my credit report even though i cancelled it a loooong time ago, i got a mortgage, infact i am on my second mortgage and i dont think having it show up was any issue? my credit score has been the highest its been in ages.
are you worried about something or do you have a real concern with rogers? im trying to understnad?
This account was not opened by me.. like I said. Someone would be looking into it if they actually answer the phone and stay on the line without having to disconnect or drop the call. Why would I mention that in the beginning when I have nothing to do with it. A great start would be if these csr’s would stay on the line.
Well in that case you should also be contacting your Credit Bureau to examine your history for other things, as well as your financial institution. If someone opened an account under your name without your consent it is actually called Identity Theft and that is against the Law. Who knows what else they opened with out your knowing, you better. I would definitely keep tabs on my credit report at least once a year. you do not want any surprises when your trying to do a large purchase like a house or cottage or even a car
Not sure where to start a post but since this exchange touches on my issues, I'll post here. I've had a 'delinquent' note on my Transunion record for a while now despite having paid all my bills. I spoke to 2 people from the collections department who assured me that it was a mistake and had been removed but much to my disappointment nothing has been done and my credit rating is still affected. What do I have to do to get Rogers clear my account?
