Offered new "better" Bundle but...

Something is really wrong with how Rogers is doing business. Long story... I was in a chat to upgrad my phone to a New package that included Travel... called .... blah blah blah +Travel. 

 

When I was done with this the agent said that she can offer me a better bundle that would give me more channels plus faster up speed.

I said I am only interested if I can be sure that nothing is removed from my current package.

 

She said, nothing will be removed, and it will be cheaper!

 

She made that change and I lost MOST of my channels.... Conveniently, the emailing of the transcript did not work.... BUT... I took screen shots... so I have most of the critical info.

 

Today I got on the chat again and was told that there is no such thing as Flex 28... I have a document showing that I had 28 flex channels! That they only have Flex 10!

 

So I guess I was 'tricked'??? It cant't be an innocent mistake. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH ROGERS man!!

 

So, I have all of the chat info documented... do these folks think about what they say? 

 

I just want my old package back... same price... I dont want any deal... no new bundle... no nutten...

 

Rogers better step up... I am so sick of this!

@Vin526  Several years ago, Rogers offered a package called "Flex 20 + Sports" which contained a total of 28 flex channels. Perhaps it was this old package that the agent tried to switch you to.

 

FYI, Rogers later replaced it with "Flex 20 Including Sports", which contained 20 Flex channels.

 

I hear stories of some customers being able to sign up for the Flex 20 Including Sports but never the older, better package.

 

You need to be very careful when anyone tells you that you can get more for less money.  Yes, sometimes is is true that Rogers offers larger discounts on their top-tier packages making it the less-expensive option.  BUT -- You need to be VERY careful.

 

MyRogers is also currently giving me an offer to upgrade to 2 Gig Internet and Ultimate TV that will supposedly save me a ton of money.  The problem is that the attractive new offer price does NOT include my current theme packs or any of my extra set-top boxes.  If I add those items to the special offer, so I don't actually lose anything, I would end up paying more AND would have being locked into a 2-year contract.  Had I been presented with this offer over the phone, I'm sure that the agent would have neglected to provide with those little details.

You do have to be careful. I was being upsold... I was not even looking for a better package. It sounded too good... and I thought... I have it all on the chat transcript! Then the transcript did not come through... coincidence?

I have been with Rogerts since the 80s! I am loyal I guess... mostly lazy. I have all of my services with Rogers.

I am patient and understanding when tech fails... overall, Rogers has come a long way keeps current with services.

 

But this lying and misleading that is happening now... I can't deal with it. It makes me angry.

 

Today I was told that there was no way I could have 28 flex channels... not that it is old or discontinued... that it did not exist... and so I must be making it up! 

 

I can't wait to see my first cell bill with the new 'roam like home'... I will be travelling for 3 months so an amazing value! I have the chat when I upgraded all documented.... but I am skeptical. Previously they charged me $15 a day up to a monthly max. So this deal is at least $100 less than I would normally pay per month. No way they will let this happen.

The people running Rogers only care about money.... every single dollar they can extract... a far cry from what Ted built.
