Connect a Second Rogers Ignite TV Receiver

I had a brand new ignite TV recever/remote and modem shipped to my house, it's my address but not my name
Can I use the receiver as a second one in my house in my room
Rogers has not got back to me on picking it up, so I want to use it

It's unlikely you will be able to use it.  The box has a serial number which is tied to someone's account on their system, Regardless if it has your physical address on the package. Its the account its tied to which matters if you can use it or not.  Someone probably made a typo for the ship to address but Rogers can easily check this in their records.  Worst case scenario you can call them again and let them know, or you can even try taking it to the store with the package so they can try to figure out whos account its tied to and let the user know so he wont get charged unreturned equiptment fee even though it may not be his fault.

your better of just ordering a second ignite receiver yourself thru rogers that way its tied to your account and billed properly
