Can't Cancel Internet Service - Keep getting charged

I've been here awhile

I cancelled my Rogers Internet Service on June 18, 2023. I was told to wait for my final bill and I would receive instructions on sending my modem back to Rogers.

 

I waited and saw my final bill but didn't get return instructions for the modem, so I called Rogers myself and they gave me a return label. I sent the modem back with the return label provided by Rogers and I was told my account was closed and once the modem was processed, my final bill would be adjusted with the necessary credits.

 

Well, it is now August 24th and Rogers still has my account active and is still charging me as if I am a customer. But I already did everything they told me to do and they still won't cancel my account.

 

I called customer service many time and they keep telling me the bill will be adjusted properly, but nothing is happening.

 

I even wrote a letter to the CEO of Rogers about 1 week ago, but still nothing................crickets.

 

I don't know what to do. Rogers is going to screw my credit rating if they send me to collections and claim I owe them money, even though I clearly have cancelled and have sent my equipment back to them.

 

This is crazy. I have been a Rogers customer for 15 years and they refuse to let me cancel.

I've been here awhile

My issue seems to be getting solved. I finally made some progress with an agent tonight, just after I posted this thread.

 

I will keep everyone updated when things are finally canceled and closed.
