Can someone explain to me why I can't return the wi-fi modem to the store where I bought it but have to send it somewhere via Canada Post?

Some Rogers stores are corporate stores and they may accept returns. Some stores are franchised and it's up to the franchisee to decide if they want to accept returns. Call around to various stores nearby to check. If they say yes, get the person's name, bring an ID with you to the store and get a receipt for the item(s)
