My 9865's hard drive has crashed rendering the box unusable.
I understand that a replacement hard drive is relatively easy to find but opening the case in order to swap out the drives is difficult.
Is there a place where I can get this fixed locally (Ottawa)?
TIA
Model 9865 - Rev 4.1 - Manufactured November 23, 2013 – P/N: 47-4044380-01 SL-B

Here's a link with detailed instructions over on Digital Home if you wish to attempt this yourself:
I wouldn't waste any time or money on this legacy digital cable equipment since the rumour is that everyone will need to migrate to IgniteTV by the end of 2023. Any shop will likely charge at least $100 on top of the price of the iHDD. The WD Purple drive is recommended since it's designed for this sort of service (see recent posts in that thread)
P.S. If you wish to persist with Legacy Digital Cable equipment, there are lots of used 9865s for sale due to all the people migrating to IgniteTV. See Kijiji, etc. Can pick one up for under $50. Here's a checklist when buying:

Thanks for your reply. I am going to take your advice.
Once I realized I can give the new Ignite based Wi-Fi network the same name / SSID and password as the existing home network I'm much less hesitant to move to Ignite as I was worried I'd have to reconfigure dozens of devices for a different Wi-Fi network. I'm going to head down to my local Rogers outlet and order up a professional install as we also use Rogers Home Phone and that might complicate things. Plus I should be able to get some advice about where to place extender pods. I think I may need 1 or possibly 2.
Now I just have to figure out how I would access Ignite TV from our smart TV at the cottage where we have Starlink. I'm hoping it won't be limited to mirroring from an app running on a tablet/phone/laptop. Currently we use a Roku with the CTV/Global and CBC apps. For the CTV and Global apps, I believe we're logged in to or through our My Rogers account so we can watch all of the channels in our current Rogers subscription.
