Receiving call from Rogers

sazkiawaz
I've been here awhile

Hello,
I was getting multiple calls from this number. On couple of occasions when I picked up the phone, they identified themselves from Dafco a subsidiary of Rogers and letting me know their names. They know my name and how much I'm paying for my services and mentioned the call is being recorded. They mentioned Rogers has installed new infrastructure in the area and asked me some survey questions like how I'm using the services like gaming or online meeting and how much happy I'm with the overall service. Ironically though they hang up on their own saying on one occasion that they don't have the required information about plans and on another that there is disturbance in the line and he is going to check with the supervisor. This all sounds fishy to me so I have blocked their number now but not sure what other information they may have gleaned from me.
Hope to hear further on this number as I was unable to find any information in the Rogers community but googling has identified it as a scam.

Hello @sazkiawaz

Welcome to the Community and Congrats on your first post with us! 🙌 As a consumer myself, I know one cannot be too vigilant when it comes to all the scams out there these days. With that said, in the event that we do attempt to contact you, we would document your account with the details and  purpose of the call, along with an interaction number you can reference.

I personally have not heard of Dafco, and this certainly does sound a bit concerning to me as well. Blocking the number was a great move. 👍 If I may suggest, in the event that you do receive another call of this nature, I would refrain from providing any of your personal or account related information and connect with us directly to inquire.

Feel free to send a private message to @CommunityHelps so we can verify the validity your conversation. For more information on how our Private Messaging system works, you can find out more here. Looking forward to hearing from you,
