Is this scam?

limddu
I've been around

I got a call from 438-269-6692 saying that I'm qualified to get a discount on my phone bill.
He sent me an email(sender's email: rogers@wirelessloyaltydept.com)
about this discount information.
Is this sender legitimate?
Is it scam? I just changed my password to my rogers account and also paused my credit card which pays automatically for my phone bill.

Hi @limddu, welcome to the Rogers Community Forums!

It's quiet easy for spam callers to spoof any legitimate numbers. I don't recognize the email address or the number at first glance. If it was a legitimate Rogers call, the person over the phone should have no issues documenting the account and providing a reference number; this way you can always call into Rogers and confirm.

As a general practice I discourage our customers from confirming or providing personal or financial information to unknown callers.

I hope this helps.
