It was from a phone number (438) 700-7481
The starred out part is my name.
This looks very sketchy especially since it's from a phone number.
How can one verify this message?

We have had instances in the past where we have sent out similar messages. However, it's recommended not to access any links or respond to similar messages for security reasons. Did you visit a Rogers store in Fairview Pointe-Claire recently?
Rogers will never send a regular SMS that asks you to provide, confirm, or verify personal, login or account information or include a link to an online service in a regular SMS and ask you to sign in using that link. Customers can report any suspicious texts or emails to abuse@rogers.com.
