Calls and Emails from Rogers

Jbonaparte
I've been around

Hey,
i am getting daily calls with phone ID saying Rogers, indicating i owe 600 odd dollars and to pay using mastercard via phone. Seemed like a scam, so i never did. I called once and it asked for the numbers in my postal code. I put fake ones in and it didn't work, but if i put the real one in, it worked so it knew my correct postal code.

Then, i got an email that seemed ligit from @creditops.rogers.com with links.

It knows stuff about me and says it is now going to contact a credit collecter.

It also says my account is closed, but my accounts are not closed and the amount owing does not show up anywhere.

If this is in fact Rogers, it's a terrible way to contact people as it really ruins trust as it appears very scammy. I don't know if i can trust any email from Rogers if this is in fact, how the do things.

Im currently wait on hold wirh CSR about this but they don't seem to know either. It's very bizarre.

I plan to stick around

There is an older post that mentions the same email, and it includes contact info for the Rogers Credit Operations.
