BEWARE - NEW PHONE SCAM

adahazel
I've been around

Hi! I recently received an offer for an iPhone 15 pro max from a man who introduced himself as a Rogers sales representative, his number is 867xxx0046. I accepted the offer and he asked me to call the Rogers Verification Team to verify my information. I did this. He then asked me to call the Verification Team again to get my order tracking number, and I called the Verification Team again. This time I found out that there was a phone order on my account that did not match what I wanted and it turned out to be a scam. It looks like the scammer orders the wrong phones for you and asks to return the phones to their address rather than Rogers'. Luckily I canceled the order immediately before anything happened. Beware of such scammers! Stay safe!
