True, but it seems like it recognized about 1 button press per second and it only still goes 30 seconds at a time. So to move forward one hour with this process would take a couple of minutes.
The other process works much better when trying to move through long stretches of time. If you don't watch sports that might not matter, but lots of sporting events can be many hours long.

- press "Up" to display the time remaining bar
- then press "Left" to display a small time box above the bar
- then press "Left" to REW, or "Right" to FF, in small increments, or keep pressing down to accelerate through the recording
- then press the centre "Select" button to start playing at the currently selected time bar spot
It seems that if you go too far and past the current live spot (on currently recording shows) it gets confused and you get a spinning circle. You can go back on the timeline and it will start playing, but going too far seems to cause a problem

Anyone know how to download the Rogers Xfinity apk file from a FireTV so that I could sideload it to an AndroidTV device? Or a place that I could download the apk? I have several AndroidTV devices that I would like to use to access my Rogers content.

I just just purchased a brand spanking new Firestick TV Stick HD, and I'm trying to install the Rogers Xfinity App (the one with the red background, not the white Shaw one) . When I go to to install the app, it says it's unavailable. I've installed and use this app without an issue on a couple other older firesticks I own. Anyone else run into this? What is the problem here?

I have a brand new Firestick TV Stick HD, but I am having the same issue. It works on a couple older 4k firesticks. Software is up to date (7.6.8.5). I was under the understanding the app required version 6 and up. A new one may not resolve your problem. Anyone at Rogers here that can shine some light on this?

I can see the app in the AppStore but says my fire sticks are not compatible. I have three including a newer 4K max I bought about a year ago. How can I download the app? Do I need to buy a new fire stick?
Have you tried updating to the latest OS on all of your Firesticks? In theory you should be good assuming that they can support the FireOS version required for the app.. I bought a brand new Firestick, but I only bought the HD version.

wayner92, what OS version is your HD Firestick at? Sounds like the same one I just bought. Is the xfinity app working on it?

It seems I'm not the only one I have two fire sticks 3rd generation on latest FireOS 7 and both rogers xfinity stream apps show in the store but the Rogers one says it's not compatible and funny enough the Shaw app allows me to download it.... There is no reason for this if you go into the amazon app store while logged in it will say if your device is compatible or not. But why is it not compatible it clearly states it supports FireOS 7? hmmmm.....

I have Fire OS 7.6.8.5. Yes the app works. I received the Firestick on Dec 27, set it up that day and downloaded the Xfinity app.

ok, so we have the same firestick at the same OS version. You could install it on Dec 27, but I could not on Jan 3. Something is up here. Anyone been able to install this since the New Year came in?
Sunday
It sounds like the app may have been pulled from the app store. @RogersCorey - can you investigate? People were able to install the app a week or two ago but not anymore.

I also have Fire OS 7.6.8.5 on both fire sticks and cannot install it I attempted yesterday so something is up there is a dev email in the amazon link I posted above.

Hi. Just wondering if anyone else if having issues trying to download the Rogers Xfinity Stream (Red version, Not Shaw Version). I can download the Shaw version but don’t have Shaw. The Red version says unavailable for download and when I check compatibility it says not compatible. Brand new fire stick so not sure what is going on.
Anyone else having this issue?

Yes - see the posts above yours in this thread as I am assuming that you started a new thread and I am guessing that it was just merged into this longer thread.

Same issue here - successfully installed on one firestick before Jan 1 and now am seeing the app as unavailable on two other new firesticks for other TVs in the house.
