I added a free preview channel (cbc news) to my favorites list on my Ignite channel listing and now that the preview is over I don't have the option to remove that channel from favorites from the list of options I'm given. How do I get rid of it? I also have an upcoming change to my TV services that will remove a few channels I'm currently subscribed to so I'm wondering if once those channels are no longer available if I'll have the same problem of not being able to get them off of my favorites list. My STB is the Xfinity Entertainment Box Xi6
TIA

@markfink777 : I assume you're talking about doing this on the box. Unfortunately, if you're not presented with the option to remove that channel from your favourites, then the only way is to subscribe to the channel briefly, remove it then unsubscribe. This is discussed in detail in the following previous thread:
https://communityforums.rogers.com/t5/Ignite-TV/Removing-Crave-from-Favorites/m-p/527857
Unfortunately @Biollw 's suggestion doesn't help for the box.
P.S. As discussed in that thread, the options presented depend on whether a channel has a "subscribe" option or not, so not all channels are affected in the same way. Definitely get rid of your favourites before unsubscribing to avoid any issues.

I tried that but that channel is not listed online since it was just a trial offer. It's gone there but still in my favs in my STB. I had a look at the other thread with others that had this issue recently and one suggestion is to subscribe to it and then remove it from favorites then unsubscribe it as you said but I have had so many issues with Rogers over the last few months setting up my next/new contract with a lot of channel subscription errors on their part (that took weeks to sort out) that I don't really want to add more potential screw ups to my account and be an even bigger headache dealing with additional channels that I don't want at all.
If that's the only solution I'd rather leave it and live with it than potentially create bigger headaches going forward.
Thanks
