When I try to play ignite live or recorded shows I keep getting the error TVAPP-00473 and it won’t play. Anyone have an idea what this means? Thx

I just trouble shot this with Rogers. They weren’t very helpful but we’re patient as I pressed buttons and noticed differences between my iPhone app being labelled as Shaw Ignite TV and my login on my browser being my MyRogers account details on ignitetv.rogers.com.
I then realized that my browser login was directing to Rogers when it should’ve been my Shaw account credentials being used. I’m in Western Canada where they merged and if I go to ignitetv.shaw.ca I have success and no longer see the TVAPP–00189 error.

See my reply and try that. Are you out west where Shaw and Rogers merged? Try using ignitetv.shaw.ca instead of ignitetv.rogers.com.

I obviously failed to read all the way down to the bottom and find this reply before I sat for half an hour on the phone with Rogers trying to troubleshoot this. I discovered that I need the ignitetv.shaw.ca instead of the Rogers version. They should put the latest answers to the top in this community for him so we can see the updates. I also made sure that the Rogers representative at tech-support knew the issue so they could hopefully document it correctly if anybody else calls in

I get a message to clear cache from browser,. I did that and still get error message. I'm using chrome

@Sundre6 Clearing the cache may not be enough. Have you tried Incognito mode in Chrome or a different (clean) browser? See the following link which was also supplied in an earlier post of this thread for additional information:
