Rogers Ignite TV App on Fire TV

I just switched from Bell to Rogers and was promised I could watch using the Ignite app on my many Fire TVs. This worked great with the Bell Fibe app for years. I see that it is available for Rogers Shaw customers but not regular Rogers customers. This is how I watch TV on 6 televisions in my house. Will there ever be an Ignite app on Fire TV? This is a major disappointment and I would not have switched if I had known. Bell has been doing this for years with their Fibe service. I dan't believe Roger is so far behind them. Please tell me this feature is coming soon!

Our apps run on iOS or Android. We do not officially support Fire OS that comes on the Firestick. 

The Firestick and Fire TV uses a "forked" version of Android so we cannot guarantee that it will work as Amazon does tend to lag behind on Android updates. Further, Amazon has announced they will be ditching Android and moving to their own OS called "Vega".

We have been successfully using Shaw Blue Curve & Ignite on our Firesticks for a couple of years now.  It was only when it became Xfinity that the problem started.   Also, I have read on Rogers website that those with with a Rogers (Shaw) account will continue to be able to use Xfinity on a Firestick.  This was confirmed by a Rogers tech who tried unsuccessfully for over an hour to resolve the problem. As this is our only access to live TV at our remote cottage, it is a very important issue for us & unless it can be successfully resolved  may make it necessary for us to move to another source for all our Interet/TV/Phone requirements.

Yes, it’s strange how Bell and even Rogers Shaw have been able to figure out the complexities of making an app on fire stick. Time to get yourself some new engineers at Rogers or just tell us you don’t want to give us a FireTV app because you want us to rent the devices from you.

Will Rogers Xfinity be available on the fire TV stick for Rogers customers (not Shaw) any time soon?

Have now loaded Rogers Xfinity Stream Shaw on my Firestick & can access all recorded programming but not Live TV.  Have spent hours on phone with Rogers tech(?) but could not resolve problem.  He again referred me to Amazon claiming there is an issue with the Firestick despite the fact that all other streaming apps work fine & even Rogers app partially works.  Amazon claims there are no issues with the Firestick & the problem is within the app.  I believe them but Rogers is of no help.  Any suggestions?
