Ignite splitter

DD622
I've been here awhile

Is it possible to split the signal going from my ignite box to the TV. I would like the same image on both screens. If so any suggestions on a splitter and hdmi wires. I have tried two splitters now with no success. Both splitters plugged in for power. Neither one recognized the incoming signal according to the lights on the splitter. I tried several cables Both lines going to the TV work when plugged in directly to the ignite box.

@DD622 : Whenever purchasing anything, you need to carefully check out the specifications to see if that device is capable of doing what you want.  It's also wise to read several of the reviews to see what other people have stated.

I suspect that the device is not capable of handling the output resolution that the IgniteTV box is set to.  Go into Rogers - Settings - Device Settings - Video Display - Video Output Resolution and choose the 1080i setting since almost all devices will handle that setting.  I suspect you're currently on a setting that is higher than what the splitter will handle.

Also, what are the lengths of the HDMI cables you are using?  Some longer cables may not pass the signal when used in combination with a splitter and yet another cable.  What is the AWG (thickness) of these cables - their specs may also be in question.

The title Ignite splitter could be misleading, as your not splitting the "Ignite" signal, your attempting to split the Copy Protected HDMI Video signal output to multiple HDMI TV Displays.

Like 57 mentioned, change the output to 1080i or even try 720p output to see if that helps.
