Audio issues with ignite TV

I've been around

Happy constant issues with my Samsung sound bar. Keeps going in and out of stereo to mono. Thought it might be WIFI off ignite box interfering with the Bluetooth connect to sound bar. Purchased an optical cord and connected it. Still doing it. So frustrated that I'm ready to change provider. Had tech in twice and been on the phone at least 5 times.

1. Is this happening randomly in the same programme, or is it with different programmes or for commercials?

2. Probably not.

3. How are you connected via optical? From your TV to the sound bar?  With the TV audio setting to "external speakers" or similar?  Even if you connect via Optical, is the sound bar actually using that connection or perhaps still using bluetooth. Any way to turn off bluetooth to make sure?

4. Does the sound bar actually display the incoming audio signal as mono or stereo or DD5.1?  Or are you hearing a difference?  It may simply be that there are variations due to differences in the programme - see note 1.

5. Is this happening on all channels or just specific ones like CBC for example?
