For more than 15 years I have received SMS messages from a person outside Canada who used this address to send the texts: http://websms.rogers.page.ca/2way (The received messages were evidently paid by me but the person abroad did not spent a cent.)
Recently, I was told that the service does no longer work.
Question: Is there another possibility for sending SMS texts from the internet to my phone, or Rogers does no longer offer this kind of service?
(I mention that I use Rogers Pay as You Go cards)

Hello, @bogdanlazar.
Thank you for posting your query in the Community. The 2-way text messaging service is a handy tool to reach out to Rogers wireless customers. The service should be available now.
Cheers,

Here is an old thread on the subject. I remember being able to do it using a Rogers address and also several sites on the web. I can see the advantage of using a real keyboard instead a very tiny one. Besides, my computers are always on, but I only turn my cellphone on and take it with me when I leave the house,
I would like to see an official answer from @CommunityHelps But it's my guess that such a feature could be abused by telemarketers to send out mass spam texts.

RogersMoin,
The page : http://websms.rogers.page.ca/2way/ is back online now. I can access it. Thank you for your help.

As a remark: It appears that the string websms.rogers.page.ca/2way triggers a spam alarm in @User3314.com.
I have tried twice to announce the person who had told me about the impossibility of sending SMS-es using the internet, each time adding a link to the page, in the body of the email, and saying the service came back online.
This is what I included in the first email:
and here is what I wrote the second time:
( "->websms.rogers.page.ca/2way" )
In both situations I received back this message:
"Failure Notice Yahoo/Inbox
MAILER-DAEMON@yahoo.com <mailer-daemon@yahoo.com>
To:[me***]@yahoo.com, Sun., Aug. 8 ... .
Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address.
<[someone***]@yahoo.com>:
554: Message not allowed - [PH01] Email not accepted for policy reasons. Please visit https://postmaster.verizonmedia.com/error-codes
---------- Forwarded message ----------"
Finally, I sent an email, to the same person, without including the above mentioned string and I have received no failure notice.

For anyone who finds this thread: service NO LONGER EXISTS.
http://websms.rogers.page.ca/2way does not resolve (no DNS entry).
Email to SMS is likewise cancelled.
