I’m going to be travelling to Europe for eight weeks starting in May. Obviously, I don’t want to use rom like home as it will cost a fortune. How do I use an eSIM card for data while ensuring I’m not being charged by Roger’s? Will O still be able to receive and send sms messages and text messages while on wifi? I don’t really understand how this stuff works.
Thanks everyone

Here are a few comments/suggestions.
1. Call Rogers before you leave to remove Roam Like Home from your plan if you don't want to use it (having it on is usually the default).
2. If you have a Rogers physical SIM, remove it before leaving Canada - this way you won't get any charges from Rogers.
3. Place your phone in Airplane mode whenever you don't need to use it.
4. There are apps like WhatsApp to send/receive texts.
