I purchased a brand new TV a couple of days ago, setup it up yesterday. It has Google Chromecast built-in, however Xfinity Stream will not recognize the TV. It is the only app across all of the mobile/laptop devices on the same WiFi network with this behaviour. YT, Spotify, Google TV and other casting apps will locate the new TV just fine, just nothing Rogers (Xfinity Stream app on mobile phone and website on laptop) will find it to cast.
Being a new TV, it self-ran full system updates on first link to WiFi, so that's ruled out. I've rebooted devices and the gateway to no avail, signed out of all sessions of Stream, still nothing. The Cast firmware is 3.72.435199.
I know my account can cast on the Xfinity Stream app, because I've cast to a Google TV w/Chromecast box on a different TV for several months, as recently as 5 days ago, same WiFi network.
Looking for any help/suggestions. Factory reset of the TV is least desired option, to avoid logging in user IDs across all streaming apps all over again. Since I can cast other apps, I feel the TV is not at issue here. I checked compatibility listings here and it appears I have the right Chromecast version to be found, but it's not.
Thanks in advance to any help you can provide.

Good morning @wpshaw1!
It is very strange that one of your TVs won't cast the app even with the exact same Cast and Android TV version as the other that is working. That may point to some sort of hardware incompatibility.
Regardless, we have enough complaints of this nature to pursue an escalation.

Good morning @Tifool!
I apologize for any inconvenience that you've encountered while attempting to cast our app to your new TV.
In order for us to provide further assistance, we'll need to know more about the devices you're using, so I have a couple of questions. I hope that's okay!
What brand and model TV is this? What kind of phone are you using and what OS version are you running? Are you using our modem directly or do you have your own router bridged to the modem?
Regards,
RogersCorey

Hi @RogersCorey
I am trying to cast with a Pixel 8a on Android 15, a Samsung A35 also on Android 15 and a Fire HD 10 on OS 7.3.3
The TV is a TCL Q651G-CA and the modem is direct, no router.
Thanks

I am also having this problem of not being able to cast the Rogers Stream app to my TCL 43Q51BG-CA TV with Google tv Chromecast built in. All of my other apps are able to recognize the new tv and cast to it from my iPhone 16 but the Rogers Infinity stream app is not able to. When you hit the cast icon the new TV Does not show up. It is on the same network. With my Samsung tablet and iPhone 16 I am able to cast to other tv’s with google tv.
