Ignite TV App on Android no cast to same TV but all other media apps work

Same phone, same TV, same wifi:  Netflix, YouTube, Plex, CraveTV and Prime Video all have the cast icon to my Samsung TV that has the Amazon FIre TV 4K device connected.  All of them cast to this device fine.

Rogers Ignite TV app does not.

Why do literally every other app work but not this one?

Thanks for bringing this to our much needed attention and for your feedback. It's much appreciated! 😊 I'm sorry to hear about the issue you're facing with regards to casting. I do have a few questions for you if you don't mind:

 Is your Android device running 5.0 Lollipop or later? 

Is your Ignite TV app version 5.2.0 or later?

The device you’re using to access Ignite TV – as well as the device you’re casting onto – must both be connected to the same WiFi network. Are you able to confirm you're on the same network?
