Plex Media Server (PC to PS5) with Gateway 3.0

Hey everyone,

Just signed up with Rogers Internet yestrday, everything works perfectly right out of the box BUT, the moment I tried to use my media server with Plex on my PS5, they won't communicate.

I've used Plex for nearly a year now with the same setup but was with Start.ca till yesterday.  Both my PC and PS5 are connected via ethernet so it's not a wireless issue so it seems that the Gateway is blocking communication between my PC & PS5.

Does anyone know how to go about resolving this so I can use my media server again?

We are delighted that you are pleased with your Ignite Internet service. Can you connect to your PC/Plex media on a different device? It may not be the gateway modem blocking the connection. 

Due to the introduction of the new gateway modem, you might need to re-establish the connection between your PS5 console and PC. Try signing out from the Plex app on your PS5, then sign back in and link the console and PC.

Rogers seems to have blocked all Plex Custom Media from being streamed, the Xfinity Modem/Router does not allow the connection to go through, even with Port Forward, just cancel and go with someone else. Ive been trying to fix this for days, and even with all the "work arounds" it doesnt work. Thanks Rogers, Leave my media alone, it has nothing to do with you.

@Cybrexwhatever they tell you to try isnt going to work as they have locked it down, ive been on plex for 3+ years and this has never happened. Ive been trying for 3 days now and nothing works, the port will not stay open. the moment it detects the Plex it shuts off. cant even access it locally. Just cancel your account and go with someone else. They have no right to our media whatsoever, and they did. Cancelllllll

I don't remember what I did but I've had Plex running for nearly the whole time I've been with them.  Sorry I can't remember how I did it.
