The Sportsnet regional channels have been removed from the Sports Theme Package since the changes made on November 1, 2023. Now in order to get Sportsnet Ontario to watch the Toronto Maple Leafs games I have to change my package and pay an extra $20 per month.
Does anyone know why these changes were made other than to force Rogers customers to pay more for their service?

Good Morning @Frustrated49,
A warm welcome to the Community! As an avid sports fan myself, (I've been waiting for the Leafs to win the Stanley Cup since 1967 myself) 🏒 I can completely understand the disappointment in the new change. We appreciate the feedback. As our services are always changing and evolving, the new Sports Theme Pack was effective from November 2, 2023 for $25/month before taxes and is now inclusive of the following channels:
Sportsnet East, Ontario, West, Pacific
Sportsnet ONE
Sportsnet 360
TSN (1-2-3-4-5)
Fight Network
Golf Channel
MLB Network
NBA TV Canada
NFL Network
We sincerly apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and we'd be more than happy to take a look at your bundle to see what can potentially be done. Feel free to send a private message to @CommunityHelps so we can assist you further. For more information on how our Private Messaging system works, you can find out more here.

Good afternoon RogersJo, I am glad to see that the regional sports channels have been restored to the new sports theme package but the question remains why they were removed in the first place? I have spent at least 10 hours or more on phone calls and live chats with IT support and Rogers Care Team representatives over the last 3 weeks to try and get Sportsnet Ontario activated on my Ignite TV system and no one could give me a straight answer as to why I was not getting it as it was part of the sports package. Then the next person would tell me that it wasn't included but they couldn't tell me how I could get it except to change my package and pay an extra $20 a month. Although I am happy that it appears that Rogers has done the right thing and restored these channels I believe that I should be entitled to compensation for the 3 weeks that I paid for this channel and did not receive it not to mention the frustration and hours of my time wasted trying to get it activated.

Hello @Frustrated49 ,
I can certainly understand your reason for being upset at the situation. Being unable to view specific programs that you enjoy watching and are subscribed to, can be disappointing, to say the least.
Since the channels have been restored, have you attempted to reach back out to our Customer Care team to see if there is something they can do to help? There are many different ways to reach out and you can view the available avenues of support here.
You may also reach out to us via PM @CommunityHelps for assistance as well. 🙂
Kind regards,
RogersYasmine

Good evening RogersYasmine;
At this point I have not made contact with the Care Team to request a credit on my account for this lack of service as well as the frustration and time it took to actually get the channel activated. I plan on doing that in the next day or two but at this point honestly I have not had the time, nor am I looking forward to spend even more time on the phone to deal with an issue that never should have been a problem in the first place.

Yes it is great that the channels have finally been restored and it appears that the package is now fully operational so that all channels being paid for are viewable. When I contacted about some sort of reimbursement or credit for all of the trouble I was told there was nothing that could be done.
