Curious about purchased movies.

davedaoust2850
I've been around

So... I have 15 movies I've *bought* at about $25 each (much like buying a DVD) over the past year or so, but may be moving outside Rogers territory for a job and likely won't be able to access them through streaming on a Rogers service.  Do I get to download them, and be able to watch them from my laptop without a Rogers app, or am I just screwed for the money I spent, and should have just bought actual DVDs so that I didn't waste my money on vaporware?  Been trying to figure out how to ensure my *investment* in these movies, but outside of requiring being IN Rogers territory, it looks like I squandered my money, when I SHOULD be able to retain my purchases.

Any info - good or bad - is appreciated.

@davedaoust2850  I'm pretty sure that you can still watch your purchased content even after you cancel your Ignite TV service.  However, as far as I know, the only way to access it is through the Ignite TV mobile or web app.  There is no way to download a DRM-free copy or transfer that content to a competing service.  It's no different than purchasing digital content on iTunes or on the Google Play store.
