I’d like to cancel my landline but still like the convenience of using the home phone device from time to time. Is there a way to have your cellphone connected to the home phone device and be able to use either one?
I heard about the “jack to cell” converter but opinions vary on the quality of the calls.
Ideally, I’d like to transfer my cell number to my landline and keep my cell, of course.
Too much?:)

Good morning @lr77,
Thank you for posting your situation to the Rogers Community! I'll try to address each aspect of your inquiry, adequately. However, feel free to get back to me if any confusion remains.
Firstly, in order to transfer your cellphone number to use on your home phone, both lines would need to be active.
Do you currently forward your calls from your cellphone to your home phone, using call forwarding?
If I understand correctly, your main goal is to have your wireless phone number transfered to your landline, but keep your cellphone device in case of an emergency. Is that right?
Or are you looking to pay only a single monthly subscription for the one phone number you wish to keep, and have the abiltiy to sway from the home phone devices versus your cellphone based on your needs?
Have you thought of the Rogers Wireless Home Phone? For more information, visit : https://www.rogers.com/wireless-home-phone
If you simply wish to have your cellphone number replace your home phone number, while keeping only the landline active, it's something we can assist you with.
Looking forward to your reply!

Hello @RogersMaude,
Maybe a better way to frame this question would be:
*If * I cancel my Home phone service- (number and all) and keep my cell, is there a way to still place calls from my landline -as if it were from my cell ?
Thanks.

hello lr77,
The simple answer is NO you can not do that. not sure where you got the idea that was possible from, but no, if you want to make a call from your physical rogers landline service and make it so your cellphone number makes and receives calls on there, you would have to permanently port in your cell number to your landline which would cancel your wireless service permanently, it would be deactivated and your landline would permanently have your cell number to make and receive calls
I know this is not the answer you were looking for, but that is what number porting can do, anything outside of that is not possible with our current technology.
