PRIV - Vulnerability in Qualcomm kernel driver

HarvMan
I plan to stick around

Hi,

My STV100-3 PRIV is running Android v6.0.1, patch level July 5, 2016.

When does Rogers plan to issue the next patch update to address this vulnerabilty?

Thanks!

Thanks ... I am aware of that page you mention in your post.

When will the (assumed) September update be issued?

Hello @HarvMan

Unfortunately at this moment there they won't have that information as it might not be available yet. The September update can come out anytime in September. Keep looking at that page and or Mobilesyrup and the information will be posted.

PRIV update to Marshmallow?

Does Rogers have a PRIV update from Lollipop to the new Marshmallow?  Phone purchased direct from Blackberry,  but they're telling me update must come from carrier??

Hello @seh

The Blackberry Priv has been updated to Android Marsh mellow 6.0 version. You might need to factory reset ur device in order to get he update seeing as the device was not bought by Rogers directly and unlocked instead.
