Why are my texts to other Apple phones being sent in green rather than blue?

Hello Looie,

There are some possible reasons why this is happening.

1. The apple phone you are sending a Text Message to might be in an area with no data connection and is receiving the message via the SMS Protocol, or they have turned off their iMessage feature or they have switched their SIM card into a non - iPhone.

2.  Your cellular data is blocked or disabled, your Wi-Fi might be off, or you have accidentally turned off the iMessage function from within the phone or toggled Air Plane mode

3. iMessage might have an outage and be down at the moment.

4. A combination of 1, 2 or 3.
