Phone number changed without my approval

I've been around

I recently got a call and was offered a plan and repeatedly told the customer service that I want to keep my phone number that I have been using for the last 18 years. and guess what, they change my phone number.

 

I do not want this plan and phone number, please cancel my plan as soon as you get this email.

 

You're staff did not understand what I am trying to say. " I WANT TO KEEP THE SAME NUMBER." and she said yes repeatedly!

 

I WANT TO CANCEL THIS TRANSACTION!

You need to contact Rogers directly, asap.

Calling 611 from your Rogers line and speaking to someone would be the quickest way to get this resolved.

I'm no expert and do not work for Rogers in any way, but It does sounds like to me they opened a New Line / New Account for you,  and transferred or internally ported your existing number to this new plan/account. 

Did they actually change your cell phone number of your existing line or cancel it?
