Why can phone numbers we block still leave us voicemail?? The last thing I want to receive from someone I have blocked, is all their drunken voicemails! When I block someone, I want to block them from accessing my number completely! I think they should get a recording saying that this number is unavailable and then they are disconnected. Why is this not a thing?? It’s ridiculous that this is not a feature. I have a neighbour who goes on calling binges and calls me 6-8 times a day, some days. I didn’t realize he was leaving messages and when I called to retrieve a legitimate voicemail, I had 14 increasingly more drunken and belligerent messages! It was frightening! Come on Rogers — for the safety and well-being of your female customers (and male) - you really need to upgrade this!!!

your blocking the numbers at the "phone" level, the phone is handling the blocking. your voicemail box is on the cellular network.
Essentially when a blocked number calls you, the call still goes to your phone but your phone does not notify you of this, but your voice mail has no way of knowing a number is blocked so it still accepts the message, you can ask rogers if they offer some call blocking at the network level, that should help
