Wi-Fi Calling for Google Pixel 7 OEM Factory Unlocked

When will Rogers support Wi-Fi Calling for Google Pixel 7 phones not bought from Rogers? I have a Pixel 7 that I bought from Best Buy and Rogers gives me an error message saying the device is not supported. Wi-Fi Calling works fine on Shaw Mobile.

I see you posted an answer in relation to WiFi Calling here. It appears you were able to get WiFi Calling in working order on your Google Pixel 7 that was purchased at Best Buy via the steps you listed, is that correct?

In the event that you still require assistance, feel free to post another question and we'd be more than happy to assist you.

Correct.

I've been here awhile
I'm using an eSIM on my phone, along with another SIM that used to have the WiFi calling enabled on another phone. The steps listed in the other user's comments aren't working for me. Is there another way to activate the WiFi calling? BTW, I feel like the WiFi calling is enabled, but I can't setup an emergency address and this is where I get an error message that my phone isn't supported. I bought my phone from Google directly

Did you contact Rogers and ask the CCS to provision Wi-Fi Calling on your phone? Some users have reported that that works.

Me too. It appears that the technicians at Rogers are not as skilled as those at Shaw.  Our phone would not do wifi calling with Rogers but it did with Shaw. So they wanted to sell me one of their phones. No one could explain what the problem was, the technical manager even admitted he knew nothing about technology he left it up to his team.

If you have access to an older Pixel or Samsung phone, e.g., Pixel 4 or S10, try enabling Wi-Fi Calling in that phone using the Rogers SIM. (This method will NOT work with an eSIM). If it works, then transfer the Rogers SIM to your Pixel 7 and enable Wi-Fi Calling. That's how I got my Pixel 7 Wi-Fi Calling enabled.
