I could always go to Demand and get all the Global episodes of programs Now it switches me over to StackTV which I do no subscribe to. Has Rogers stopped carrying Global on demand?

Good day @GasFed ,
Thanks for joining us in our community forums. 🙂
I'm sorry to let you know that effective January 1, 2025, Global TV, CTV and Citytv Video On-Demand content is no longer available on Rogers TV.
With this being said, you may continue to enjoy live and recorded content from Citytv, CTV and Global, and can use your Cloud PVR to record and save your favourite shows to enjoy at a later date/time.
Just a reminder that you can store up to 200 hours of content for up to one year on your Xfinity Entertainment Box and once recorded, you may choose to watch it on your TV, or download it to your mobile device to watch it on the go! Record, watch and keep re-watching your favourites for longer. With Cloud PVR, you can keep your favourite recordings for up to 1 year, and re-watch them whenever you want. 🙂
Warm regards,
RogersYasmine

Thanks for the information that Rogers should have sent to subscribers. There has been a decrease in the number of channels that are On Demand but I don't think I have seen a decrease in my Rogers bill. And using Record is not the same as On Demand. I suppose that Rogers received a substantial financial incentive to no longer have these channels On Demand. Why else would they do it?

But here's the thing: 200 hours of PVR space is not really all that much. I turned out to be not that big a deal because Ignite TV made quite a bit of content available on-demand... AND you could fast-forward and rewind pretty much as you could had you recorded the program. Ignite TV really was the best IPTV service out there in a large part to the generous content rights that Rogers negotiated.
When I was a Bell Fibe TV customer, if you Restart'ed a program, or accidentally engaged restart by rewinding too much, that's it... you could no longer fast forward through content. With Rogers, if you sit on the remote and accidentally change the channel, most of the time, you can go back, restart the program, fast forward to where you were last and then continue watching.
With the current Xfinity TV, we have less content available on-demand. The new Bell channels have no on-demand or Restart, Set-top box rentals went up $7. Soon, we will also see another $7 price hike for Xfinity TV. This was all supposedly to continue to bring improvements to the service but, so far, I am not seeing it.
