Was I Scammed?

SlowandSteady27
I've been around

I received a call from 403-605-5707. It came up as Xuan Leung on my call display. I thought it was a member of my hiking club at first, so I took the call. He said he was calling from Rogers. He said his name was Henry Smith and his Rogers employee number was 3006RA.  It did have the sounds of a call center.

He offered me some great deals on my current plans through Rogers and Shaw. I started getting suspicious when they couldn't email me conditions and terms.. whatever to either of my Shaw email accounts. By this time though he had my phone number, email addresses, and home address. Also my driver's license number.

I was transferred to a manager and he asked me to send an email to rogerspromotion@rogersnetwork.net  Also i called 1-548-708-4432

I was also offered a free gift.

@SlowandSteady27 please have a look at the following post.  Most likely, without any comment from the moderators, you were scammed.

Solved: Re: Scammers are really getting good at scamming - Rogers Community

Ok, if you're sent a "free" gift, don't be surprised to get a call later on saying that the "gift" that was sent to you was mistakenly sent, and, you're instructed to send the gift back to an address that the scammer will supply.  That will most likely be the scammers address where he or she can pick up the "gift".  So, don't send the gift back to the supplied address.  At this point you should read thru that post and contact the moderators as indicated within that post.

Also, given the personal details that the scammers now have, call Equifax Canada and Transunion Canada and have them place a statement on your credit file that you are the victim of Identity Theft, and not to release any credit report to any company without your direct approval.  Check your personal details on file with Equifax Canada and Transunion Canada to ensure that the scammers have not changed any of them, which would allow them to use your credit rating to further their scams upon yourself and other companies.
