Text Message Scam

I've been around

Received a message from a +1 437 5xx 2xx3 number with the text stating: 

 

'Rogers Canada: Your Rogers account has accidently been surcharged. Please visit customerservice-rogers.info to deposit your refund. Date rates may apply. '

@sagoob2 : Whenever you get a scam/spam text message, you should forward it to 7726 (SPAM).  You will get a confirmation back from them.   If you're on a PAYGo plan, you can also get the charges for the spam texts reversed. I do this every 3 months or so since that's as far back as the PAYGo (Pre-paid) records go for the CSRs.

I would be careful of posting the telephone numbers you receive calls or messages from.  I saw on the news that Scammers will spoof their Phone number so usually that number belongs to an unsuspecting victim of spoofing and they are likely getting lots of calls and text messages from angry people.
